Imagery that defines Home.

Towards Grace
by Kris Strell.
Rediscovering bits of inky tarnished jewelry
Hidden deep within my treasure box cupboard
Silently I vow to seek out polish to bring them
Back to a brilliant radiant luster & shine.
The dried up glitter nail polish the empty saved boxes
Are now easily tossed & discarded, like detoxes.
I listen to my Heart now & all is so sublime
I listen to my Heart now the true sage chime.
My Heart speaks to me now as I listen to her
Rhythmic pulsing beating tempo thoughts :
Re-build. Re-claim. Re-Ignite. Reside. Re-sign.
A new day now which is all mine.
Suddenly a butterfly appears before me
Thru an outside opened doorway
She takes pause on the rug as she takes in
The interior space & lights up the room.
A close-by robin accepts my earthworm offering
As he closely inspects my earthwork diggering.
All beings now seen as closely knit personal friends
& not merely as nature’s forms or creatures.
I get you I get to get you I see you now I understand
The meaning the worth the glory of the unhurried pace
As I slowly very slowly walk towards Grace.
I leave behind the once so ordinary fast blind race
And bring in the now the truly the vast spectacular space
Open hearted mindfulness guides my every step
As I slowly so very very very slowly bow towards Grace.
